Our Core Privacy Commitment
Did I Take It? was built from the ground up with privacy as its foundation. Your health data is deeply personal. Your medications, schedules and history stay on your device. The Developer never receives them, and no account is needed to use the App.
To provide subscriptions, the App uses one service, RevenueCat, which processes limited purchase information described in Section 5. That information does not include your medications or any health information.
1. Information We Collect
Information the Developer Does NOT Collect
The Developer does not collect, receive or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information.
- Your medication names, dosages, schedules, instructions, notes, or any other health information.
- Your medication history, streak data, or reports.
- Your location.
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA). The App does not ask for permission to track you.
- Analytics about how you use the App's screens and features.
Information Stored Only on Your Device
Everything you enter into the App is stored on your device using the device's local storage. This includes:
- Medication names, dosages, instructions and notes.
- Reminder times and notification preferences.
- Your daily check-off history.
- Details you choose to show on reports, such as your name and date of birth.
- Pharmacy name and phone number, if you enter them.
- App settings and preferences.
This information is not sent to the Developer or to any third party.
Purchase Information
If you start a free trial or subscribe, limited purchase information is processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, as described in Section 5.
2. iCloud Backup
If iCloud Backup is turned on for your iPhone, the App's data is included in your device backup, so your medications and history can be restored if you set up a new iPhone. These backups are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and are available only through your Apple Account. The Developer has no access to your iCloud backups.
You can manage iCloud Backup in your iPhone's Settings app under your name > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
3. Notifications
The App uses your device's local notification system for medication reminders, follow-up reminders and report reminders. These notifications are created and delivered entirely on your device. Actions you take from a notification, such as "Mark as Taken" or "Remind in 30 min", are handled on your device.
You can manage notification permissions for the App at any time in your device's Settings app.
4. Reports You Share
The App can create a medication report (PDF) for your doctor, family or caregiver. The report is created on your device. It is sent only when you choose to share it, using your device's Messages, Mail or share options, and only to the people you choose. The Developer does not receive or keep a copy of any report.
5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
The App offers an optional subscription, Did I Take It? Premium, which may include a free trial. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Developer never receives your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
To manage subscriptions, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription management service. RevenueCat processes:
- An anonymous identifier created for your installation of the App. It is not tied to your name, email address or Apple Account.
- Your purchase and subscription history for the App, such as which plan you chose, trial and renewal dates, and the App Store country or region.
- Basic technical information needed to provide the service, such as the App version, your device's operating system version, and IP address.
This information is used to confirm and restore your subscription and to give the Developer summary information about subscriptions, such as how many people start a trial. The Developer can see these purchase records, but they are not linked to your identity.
Apple Ads attribution: If you installed the App after tapping an ad on the App Store, Apple can provide an attribution token that tells RevenueCat which Apple Ads campaign led to the install. This uses Apple's AdServices framework, does not use your advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not require permission to track you. It is used only to measure the Developer's own Apple Ads campaigns.
RevenueCat's handling of this information is described in its privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
6. Phone Calls
If you enter a pharmacy phone number, tapping "Call Pharmacy" opens your device's phone app to place the call. The Developer does not record, log or have access to any call information.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.
8. Data Security
Because your medication information is stored on your device, its security is protected by your device's own security features, including your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and security settings up to date.
The Developer cannot access, recover or restore information stored on your device, including if your device is lost, stolen or damaged.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete all information stored by the App at any time by deleting the App from your device. This removes all locally stored information. Copies in your iCloud backups are managed by you through Apple.
To ask for the anonymous purchase records held by RevenueCat to be deleted, contact us at the address below. Deleting these records does not cancel a subscription; you can cancel in your Apple Account settings.
10. Third-Party Services
The App does not include third-party analytics or advertising networks, does not display advertisements, and does not sell or share your information for advertising.
The App relies only on:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, notifications, iCloud Backup and Apple Ads attribution, under Apple's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat, for subscription management, as described in Section 5.
- Your device's own Messages, Mail, share and phone features, when you choose to use them.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know about and to request deletion of personal information. The Developer does not sell or share personal information. The only information processed outside your device is the anonymous purchase information described in Section 5. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
12. International Users
The App is operated from the United States. Information stored by the App stays on your device, wherever you are. Purchase information processed by Apple and RevenueCat may be handled in the United States or other countries under their privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
